Welcome to the Equinox Public Address website!

Based in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire, Equinox Public Address specialise in providing and operating 100 volt line public address systems for fayres, fetes, festivals, services, sporting events and displays.

We only hire our equipment with an operator included. We are frequently involved during the planning stages of an event, ensuring we have all the music the performers require in the right order and ready to play.

42" long throat horns with TOA drivers are ideal for covering a site with clear announcements.

They are not suited to music playback.

18 available.

Music horns deliver a fuller sound than the 42" horns. They are ideal for running commentary use in smaller areas, as they do not project the sound as far as the 42" horns.

6 available.

For arena events, or indoor shows, we have a selection of full range speakers.

6 available with 1 Bass bin for indoor events.

We have a range of microphones available, both wired and wireless. For playback, we mostly use a Macbook running Qlab, able to play MP3 and WAV files. We can also provide CD and MD players, a Bluetooth receiver, and 3.5mm jack plugs.

About Us

Robert Oxlade started working in the event industry in 1997. Robert's wife Helen joined in 2014. Helen is Deaf, so we can both sign in BSL, and can provide event information in BSL if required.

You might have heard us or our equipment at:

  • Fryern Funtasia
  • Hiltingbury Extravaganza
  • Knightwood Primary School's Christmas Fayre
  • Thornden School's Sports Day
  • Romsey's Remembrance Sunday Parade (working with SJT Services)
  • Eastleigh 10k (volunteering with Southampton Hospital Radio)
  • Ageus Bowl 10k (volunteering with Southampton Hospital Radio)
  • Pumpkin Festival (volunteering with Southampton Hospital Radio)

Important stuff to know:

  • Whilst we can play music, it is up to the event organisers to ensure their event is covered by the relevant licence(s).
  • If heavy rain is forecast on the day of the event, we may swap equipment for more weatherproof alternatives.
  • If an event is cancelled after we have started to set up equipment, we will invoice for the full amount quoted.
  • We prefer for a stable mains power supply to be provided for us. We have access to a petrol generator, but if we use that as the main supply, we won't guarantee its reliability.
  • We will monitor weather conditions during the event, and if the wind picks up, or a thunderstorm is 10 miles away, we will lower our tripods to minimise risk. If a thunderstorm is within 5 miles, we will switch off and unplug equipment, including the generator.
  • Data - we've turned off cookies on this site, and we will only use your email address and contact details to contact you about your event.
